Security Supervisor

Ward Security is looking for an experienced Security Supervisor to lead and inspire the team of 5 officers based  at our client’s premier office and lab premises in West London.

The ideal candidate will possess the skills to deliver an effective and efficient service to the client.

Position:                    Security Supervisor

Pay rate:                    £14.22 per hour

Shift Pattern:             Monday to Friday days only - average 60 hours per week

Location:                    Arc West London, Hammersmith, London, W6 9RH

Role Requirements:    Valid SIA & CCTV licence

Duties:

• Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion
• Patrolling: Regularly patrol assigned areas to ensure security and safety
• Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems
• Responding: Respond to alarms and emergencies, and assist in evacuations
• Access control: Monitor and control access to buildings and properties, and screen people entering
• Security checks: Conduct security checks to identify and prevent potential threats
• To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
• Respond to emergencies
• Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required
• Reporting: Provide detailed reports on security incidents and breaches, and maintain accurate records of daily activities and incidents
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks
• Excellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radio’s
• A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges

Must have:

• Valid SIA & CCTV license
• Proven work experience as a Security Supervisor -min 1 year
• Robust leadership and supervision skills, adept at inspiring and efficiently managing teams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
• Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
• Profound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyze intricate security issues and devise effective solutions.
• IT literate- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
