Job description

We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Harrods. This role is a key proactive role central to the Harrods Interior Design team as it is responsible for ensuring all projects run smoothly and efficiently in terms of payment, procurement, delivery and installation.

About the Role

The Procurement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing client projects and budgets within the company's guidelines, with a primary focus on enhancing profitability in Interior Design projects. This role involves collaborating with designers to create precise project cost estimates and diligently maintaining them on the Interior Design procurement system as projects progress.

You will be interfacing with suppliers to order and procure necessary project items, taking responsibility for generating sales orders and purchase records on SAP while meticulously tracking each transaction's payment.

You will also:

Contribute to ad hoc tasks, such as maintaining well-organized office filing systems

Assist in the training of new team members, and fostering seamless collaboration among the administrative and buying teams, design team, suppliers, and manufacturers.

Serve as a pillar for effective project management and profitability optimization within the Interior Design domain.

About You

As a successful Procurement Coordinator, you will be an effective communicator with strong attention to detail and strong administration skills. You will have great customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties as well as excellent interpersonal skills and time management.

You will also:

Have outstanding working knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. SAP experience would be ideal.

Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.

Strong work ethic and commitment to Harrods values.

Ability to perform duties effectively and independently.
