Picture Editor (Maternity Cover)
Aetn Uk- Collaborate with the in-house Graphic Design team to create premium, 'clickable' and optimised images for SVOD, VOD and in particular AVOD and FAST key art.
- Plan, source, upload and publish the most eye-catching and compelling Images for BLAZE, BLAZE App and FAST channels series and episodic level to be used across all platforms.
- Work with the VOD Operations team to deliver high quality imagery accurately and on time.
- Understand and interpret the business/campaign objectives into aesthetic appealing imagery that resonates and connects with audiences.
- Utilise data and performance metrics to optimise impact of the SVOD, FAST and AVOD offering.
- Be the lead picture editor on the BLAZE and FAST brands.
- Create key art and new title treatment using photoshop across all brands.
- To source, upload and publish the most eye-catching and compelling Images for all channels and brands at series and episodic level monthly for specific platforms.
- Library management, keeping it organised, up-to-date and adhere to the correct naming conventions.
- To, where required, take screen grabs from current, historic or archive content for use.
- Generate regular reviews and competitor analysis.

Essential Skills / Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in picture editing.
- Excellent Photoshop skills for design, cropping and resizing.
- Experience with thorough Picture Researching.
- A sound understanding of fundamental design disciplines (colours, typography, composition, layouts, etc.).
- Previous experience in organising photographers, negotiating and briefing them in for suitable promotional assets.
Desired Skills / Experience
- Previous experience working within a media or TV environment.
- Previous experience servicing VOD.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Illustrations, Iconography, 3D, Motion Design, Product Design, or any form of storytelling.

Hearst Networks EMEA is a joint venture between Hearst® and Sky. Our portfolio of quality factual entertainment channels includes SKY HISTORY®, Crime+Investigation®, SKY HISTORY 2®, free-to-air channel BLAZE®, FAST Channels and digital formats HISTORY PLAY and Crime+Investigation PLAY.
We are looking for a Picture Editor who will play a a key part in the Picture Desk Team. This team are responsible for the co-ordination, creation and delivery of a high volume of images for pan regional Video on demand and catch up (AVOD, SVOD and PVOD) services, publicity, and marketing.
In this role you will be responsible for AVOD and FAST content images, and report into the Product Senior Marketing Manager. Your day-to-day duties will involve planning, researching, and creating premium images for promoting the BLAZE brand and app along with the FAST channels.
Please submit a portfolio of work with your application, which showcases your skill set in graphic design, ability to adapt to different styles, and an affinity for taking complex concepts and making them clear and relatable. Applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered.
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Maternity Cover position. This role will be hybrid based in the London Hammersmith office, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY and Crime+Investigation.
