Application Guidance:
As part of your application, in addition to your CV we'd like you to include a cover letter. This is your opportunity to tell us more about yourself and why you're interested in this role. You might want to cover things like:
These are just examples—feel free to tell us anything you think is relevant to your application and highlights your personality, skills, and interests.
Important: Please avoid using AI tools like ChatGPT to generate your entire cover letter. We want to hear your voice and get a sense of who you are, not a polished response from a machine. We’re looking forward to learning more about you!
Are you interested in helping to develop strategic business partnerships?
How about in the world of TV?
Would you like to understand how a broadcast media company expands the global reach of its award-winning content, channels and digital products?
If so, we’ve got an exciting opportunity for you - our undergraduate placements are now open for our UK office.
At Hearst Networks EMEA, our Commercial and Distribution Intern will support the Distribution team by assisting in the coordination of distribution and partnership activities across broadcast and digital platforms. The TV world is evolving, and you’ll be uniquely positioned to understand and help expand the global reach of our content and digital products, including core broadcast channels, The HISTORY Channel, Crime+Investigation and BLAZE, our PLAY streaming services and FAST Channels.
Part of a small but dynamic team, you’ll be supported and mentored in this role by senior team members and have the opportunity to connect with peers across the business. Offering hands-on experience in the world of media and broadcasting business and relationships, you’ll play a key role in researching new opportunities for the business, the creation of materials to support business development, coordinating live projects and administrative activities, and supporting the development of content distribution and product partnership strategies.
This role is suited to students looking to start their placement year in Summer 2025.
This role will be based in the London Hammersmith office working a minimum 2 days from the office, with the option to work the rest of the week from home.
At Hearst Networks EMEA, we share stories that matter, inspiring and exciting our audiences with hit US franchises (The Curse of Oak Island, Pawn Stars), must-see docudramas (Royal Kill List and Colosseum), and original commissions (Sex: A Bonkers History with Amanda Holden, Royal Autopsy, Cops Gone Bad with Will Mellor). Over the past few years, we’ve championed our own original programming and relished in the successes of recent series’ such as The Unbelievable with Dan Aykroyd, Great Escapes with Morgan Freeman, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Royal Mob.
We welcome talented candidates with infectious enthusiasm who love what they do, and are ready to learn, develop and thrive. Here you’ll find a community of innovative, creative and inspiring people who aren’t afraid to embrace responsibility and try new things collaboratively, as a team.
We are a certified Great Place to Work® with a can-do, motivated culture that believes in working to live, not just living to work. With offices in Rome, Madrid, London, Warsaw, Munich and Johannesburg, we are a truly international organisation that celebrates difference and diversity.
As an inclusive employer, we value the diversity of our teams and want our workforce to reflect our wider society. We encourage and welcome applications from people from under-represented backgrounds and are keen to make sure we are inclusive and accessible to all. Pease do let us know if you require any adjustments or assistance for meetings and communications with you when you apply for a role with us.
