Sephora is a renowned beauty retailer at the forefront of the cosmetics industry. Our vibrant stores offer an extensive range of high-quality skincare, makeup, and fragrance products. As a Cashier at Sephora, your primary role is to efficiently process customer transactions with accuracy and speed. You play a key part in providing a positive and seamless shopping experience by balancing cash registers and following cash-handling procedures. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace at the cash area is essential. Your contribution to operational efficiency ensures a smooth and enjoyable customer journey at the checkout.
Key Responsibilities
Client experience:
- Win clients loyalty.
- Welcome, listen to, understand, shape and satisfy client needs, exceeding their expectations.
- Introduce complimentary services to the client and assist to uplift the average basket sales.
- Apply Sephora Attitude with the use of digital tools to enhance the clients experience.
- Share product knowledge to build the sale and basket.
- Have a friendly and engaging personality in order to foster and maintain long lasting positive client relationships.
- Support different categories on shopfloor, when asked to.
Education & Demonstration:
- Assist and guide clients in selecting the most suitable products based on their needs and skin type.
- Support the store team by explaining and demonstrating new products to clients.
- Display an exceptional image and body language in alignment with Sephora grooming guidelines, setting an example as a role model.
- Understand customer beauty pass status, points, and offers, introducing beauty pass promotions with the correct scanning process.
- Address customer queries, promote the Sephora website and digital tools, and resolve complaints related to the beauty pass program.
Sales:
- Use the Sephora Attitude selling techniques to build and maximize each client’s basket
- Contribute in achieving store monthly turnover
- Contribute to the store commercial and operational KPIs
- Offer 1 from Beauty to GO, including the sale of gift vouchers
- Cross sell products to customers and introduce new products or Animation items
- Introduce complimentary services to the client and assist to uplift the average basket sales
Operations:
- Consistently respect and embody the Sephora attitude in all actions.
- Process customer transactions accurately, balancing cash registers and generating credit and debit reports.
- Follow all cash procedures outlined in Sephorapedia, audit guidelines, and CEE reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the cash area, gift wrap, and Beauty to GO, ensuring appropriate levels of packaging and supplies.
- Provide support to the store team with merchandising procedures, and contribute to the overall store image through cleanliness, restocking, and improvements based on audit findings.
Skills:
- Proven experience in a retail/Customer Experience focused environment
- Interest in the Beauty & Cosmetic industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect with customers.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and personalize recommendations based on customer needs.
- Goal-oriented mindset and proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Professional appearance with a passion for the beauty industry.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
