ITV Studios is a world-leading global producer-distributor. At Zoo55, our team creates, produces and distributes a wide range of digital-first content across 13 countries. We serve a diverse base of customers across all channels, platforms and business models.

The Commercial Manager within the FAST & DTC team is a newly-created key position within ITV's Global Partnerships’ digital label Zoo55, and is primarily focused on the account management and commercial development support function of our suite of global FAST channels and AVOD publishing. 

This role is pivotal in expanding ITV Studio’s FAST channels and other digital self-publishing content footprint across various platforms globally, maximising revenue generation, and ensuring continued growth  in line with the set out strategic plans.  

The role

Reporting to the VP, FAST & DTC, the Commercial Manager will focus on 4 key areas:

1.     Negotiating FAST channel carriage deals with global and local partners: with support from the senior team, the commercial manager will play central role in concluding our carriage deals with a variety of global and local partners; this includes supporting VP, FAST on concluding  deals with our Tier-1 partners and taking the lead on Tier-2 and other deals.

2.     Day-to-day account management: big part of the role is ensuring high quality in-life deal management of our partner accounts - from timely deal renewals, to channel pitching, launch planning, performance monitoring, setting out & running QBRs,  and various other activities  all aimed at nurturing and growing our successful partnerships with 3rd party platforms.

3.     Commercial development and analytics: work with the broader team and/or as a single contributor on various business modelling projects, monetisation strategies, forecasting & budgeting, performance data review & analytics. The commercial manager will also be supporting our programming team and working alongside insights and data teams on translating performance insights into actionable performance improvement strategies. This part of the role would also include working with our vendors to continue enhancing how we as a business develop our capabilities in data and insights.

4.     Internal point of contact for FAST: alongside the senior FAST team, commercial manager will have a very visible profile within the broader Global Partnerships team and will work closely with various departments, sales leads and ops teams in ensuring we as a business collaborate as broadly as possible, find best opportunities and shared strategies, provide insight into our FAST/AVOD plans and goals etc.

 Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Solid experience working within a commercial/sales/strategy roles
  • Experience in commercial negotiations and strategy development within a media organisation  (having some linear experience is advantageous but not a requirement)
  • Proven experience in growing/maximising commercial potential of new and existing clients
  • Ability to assess opportunities, support deal modelling, put together business cases and commercial plans that deliver on the set objectives
  • Experience in working with drafting contractual agreements and working with legal teams on securing best contractual outcomes for both sides
  • Track record in working with, understanding and translating data into useful information and insights
  • Proficiency  in working with tools such as Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Additional experience in tools such as Miro, Monday.com and others is advantageous but not essential.

  • Passion for digital media business, understanding of key concepts and advertising-supported revenue streams, industry trends
  • Good working understanding of linear channel operations, including content delivery, channel playout and management, advertising tech etc. 
  • Self-starter with great sense of responsibility and collaboration
  • A motivated, proactive, team player, who is confident, flexible and capable of working at pace, under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of organisation & ability to juggle varying priorities
  • Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive - eager to learn and get involved
  • Resilience to overcome challenges
  • Teamwork - ability to build great working relationships
